The Medieval period also known as the middle
ages is the period between the end of the Roman Empire to the 1500's. The
reason there is no exact date for the fall of the Roman Empire is because the
Roman Empire deteriorated over hundreds of years. The combination of Germanic
and Roman ways of life combined to form the medieval civilization. Out of
years of chaos, an economic system of manorialism and a feudal government
emerged. The church grew and declined in power as control for Europe was
constantly shifting. By the end of the Medieval period the Renaissance swept
across Europe as the people turned towards the arts.
